These unprecedented times

Our response to COVID, you, us, and our safety

In these unprecedented times life goes on. However, there are some obstacles to achieving legal remedies.

First is learning the best way to meet with our clients to discover the legal issue, client’s objectives and legal remedies, whether it is a face-to-face meeting with protective face masks and social distancing, to using the many computer platforms now available, or to using emails and/or snail mail.

Second, many of the courts in California have been closed and are just now starting to reopen to the public.

Third, no one knows what the outcome is going to be regarding the back rents owed to landlords, mortgage payments in forbearance, missed credit cards, automobile and utilities payments. Just how all these financial issues are going to be resolved will take time, patience, understanding, compassion and possibly legal action.

However this new “normal” plays out Rita M. Lingwood Attorney at Law will be available to assist in whatever manner you may need.
